On January 31, 2024, we were invited by Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) to the opening of the school year at the 25 de Junho Basic School in the Chamanculo neighborhood of Maputo.
The school was in an advanced state of disrepair. That same day, EDM handed over the keys to three refurbished classrooms and challenged us to co-finance the continuation of the refurbishment, a challenge that SETH readily accepted.
This week, about a year and a half later, three more refurbished classrooms and four new toilets were handed over. Although there is still a lot to do, it is gratifying to help create better conditions for children to grow and learn.
