The new company, now designated MT Højgaard a/s, employs more than 6000 people and is present in more than 10 countries. After the merge, the new company's turnover in 2000 amounted to 1,08 billion euros (1,02 billion US dollars), with total assets in excess of 465 million euros (438 million US dollars), which positions it within the 30 largest European construction companies.
