Seth starts activity in Cape Verde
Enlargement of the Porto Novo port – 1st Stage

Last May Seth made a start to the woks involving the “Construction of the Enlargement of the Porto Novo part – 1st Stage”.
This job, which is being carried out on the island of Santo Antão in the Cape Verde Archipelago, is being undertaken in consortium.
Among other works, the job includes the construction of 220 linear metres of quay with service levels of between -3.00 m (CD) and -7.00 m (CD, a 25,000 m2 outdoor yard for container storage and port operations in general, and the construction of a two-storey building having a setting-out area of about 2.000 m2, which will act as the Passenger Terminal.
About 600,000 tonnes of rock-fill are expected to be used and the consortium is operating a quarry in the neighbourhood of the city of Porto Novo for the purpose.
Budgeted at about €24,500,000, the works are scheduled for conclusion in October 2011.
